Speaking of Fastball appearing in NYC in 2010, I read somewhere that Miles was coming to Banjo Jim's in NYC on Sunday, May 2nd. He would be performing solo. Does anyone know if this is true?

My first post in here for over 6 months!

I heard "Better Than It Was" once in Starbucks on Edinburgh in around 2004, and "Airstream" on Bob Harris' BBC Radio 2 Saturday night show the same year. I've not heard "The Way" on radio for years here; last time was about 7 or 8 years ago on Virgin Radio.

That's about your lot. Says it all!
My Fastball shows:
12 October 2000, King Tut's Wah-Wah Hut, Glasgow, Scotland (oh to be 18 again)
24 June 2004, Water Rats, London, England (acoustic, and rather lovely)
17 February 2008, Austin Marathon finish, Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas (it was hot)

I didn't speak to Miles about this show yet but I did see him list it as a solo show. I also read that he'll be up that way with Bruce Robison, maybe the 2nd is a night off from those gigs.

BTW, welcome back fastballrc!

Well, I think it's safe to say that Fastball or Tony,(solo), will not be coming up to NYC any time soon. They have been up this way every year since 2006. (I'm disappointed.) Qgirl & I will probably see Miles on May 2nd. That should be fun! Anyone else going?

I heard Out of My Head on the radio one night a month or two ago at Chiles while sitting down for dinner. It was nice to hear it.

Hi Elvisfran,
I can't go this year. :( Too bad, I kinda got addicted to my Fastball yearly May dose for the past two years! And it would have been nice to see Miles playing in a context different than Fastball. I hope you and Qgirl will enjoy that concert! Maybe I'll go next year, who knows!

Too bad IBP - it would have been nice to see you again. You never know what the rest of the year will bring! Hope to see you in the near future. Is anyone else going on May 2nd?

My schedule at work won't allow me to be off at that time, a few weeks later no problem.

Well now it's questionable if I'm able to go on May 2nd. I just read somewhere that the show is from 10 p.m to 1 a.m. & that's a Sunday night! (Originally, the show was to start at 8:30p.m.) I have to work the next day. I don't know if Qgirl can go - she does have to work the next day too. Also, the trains don't run too frequently on late Sunday nights. (Qgirl & I always travel to NYC by train.) So, who knows if we'll see Miles on May 2nd - it's very unlikely, at least for me.
